My 6800 is in an infanite boot loop HELP

I broke the touch screen on my 6800. I bought a replacement on EBay. I'm an Alltel customer and the phone I bought was a Sprint phone. I thought no big deal, flash the radio & ROM to Alltel and get connected. I flashed both and everything seems fine until the OS loads. One of the icons along the top says "searching" for a couple seconds then it reboots and repeats. Anyone have any ideas?

I flashed stock carrier ROM from the PPC Geeks ftp site (RUU_TITAN_ALLTEL_WWE_3.52.671.9_RS_TITAN_Alltel3. 42.50_NV2.02_PPST_Ship.exe)

Oh and just to rule it out, the phone worked fine before I flashed it. It booted fine and when I dialed *228 it would connect to Sprint and say that my account couldn’t be verified.

I thought I remember this happening if you used the wrong bootloader, or not one at all.

Re: My 6800 is in an infanite boot loop HELP

You should unlock with Olipro 1.2 What happend was the ROM needs a new bootloader. Olipro 2.4 might be too new. Olipro 1.2 should work...

Re: My 6800 is in an infanite boot loop HELP

Thanks for all the fast replies! I thought I remembered seeing this in a post as well but couldn't find anything.

I did unlock it 1st using the titanunlocker.

I used Olipro 1.2. I can try 2.4, thats at least something I havent tried yet.

Re: My 6800 is in an infanite boot loop HELP

would letting the customizatons run be an issue if he did saying its a sprint phone, with the alltel rom?

Re: My 6800 is in an infanite boot loop HELP

OK, using Olipro 4.2 cured the reboot loop. I flash it with an Alltel radio and ROM but it still wont activate. It still seems to be calling the Sprint network. How do I make it forget its a Sprint phone??? Are there actually hardware differences that make it impossible to switch it over to Alltel?
