What's the longest GPS lock you ever kept?

Just interested here in how long you've kept your device in one area and postition with a GPS lock (standalone). I stood my phone straight up on my desk today and left GPS on with Google Maps. It was acurate for about 15 mins then it started placing me across the field and in of all places, the dirty flood zone down the road! So I was just wondering if anyone else ever has left their GPS alone and discovered it placing you in other areas after a period of time.
