No you don't need the CD. I would just download the 3.52 ROM for starters. You will lose everything though when you flash a ROM or hard reset so learning to back up your phone is key. I use a storage card for keeping my data in tact and all the little cabs (installation files) of programs I use a lot.
I recommend PIMBackup from dotfred.net for backing up data. You can set it to back everything up like once a week or every couple days. Also you can go to htc.com and make sure you push United States and browse through the phones, find the 6800, and download the newest ROM. It's a lot better than the 6.0 IMO. |

i heard it was and i been searching the hell outta the forum for the 6.1 and couldnt find ****. so a couple more questions. well this is more of a statement im downloading framework 2.0 right now, and i just download activex. right now im using some guy on the forum, cant member thread title is complete how to unlock and stew your own rom, using his to help me unlock it and all, and then i guess ill try to find a iphone rom is that correct?? also my phone doesnt recieve pics i have the smart phone plan. i have 6.0 right now my girl has the touch pro with 6.1 and can get pics?? is 6.0 and 6.1 the difference here or what?? also will i need 6.1 to do the iphone rom??
ok problem installing frame work on my computer. during the install this is what it says. btw im using xp. set up can not continue because the version of .net framework is incompatible with the previously installed one. what the hell does this mean. i went to microsoft to d/l it. well been messing with this for about 2hrs now and still on damn trying to back up my ****. it was saying i need to download outlook. searched found dashwire downloaded it on my phone...still says i need to download outlook when i synch it. damn i just want the iphone rom.
