a few comments for my first post (it's a mouthful)...

It seems that going into roaming will wake up the device, can anyone confirm? This is a bad thing to happen though... badly designed.

Also, has anyone woken their device up and the colors are inverted? Like a film's negative? This happened today, going into standby and waking it up again fixed the issue, so just wondering.
Confirmed Issues ~ I have also experienced the seemingly random waking issues, as well as the inverted-color wake up problem. I can confirm that I have also experienced a few instances of the wi-fi activating even while (slider) switched off, as well as the disappearing x-button and the ever-popular alarm bug. Oh, and I wouldn't want to leave out the pesky "inability to quit a call" syndrome which has been popping up frequently as well - though as noted earlier it does seem to be related to application activity.

Mystery Drain? ~ The other morning, I charged my 6800 to 100% full battery and the phone mysteriously went completely to 0% and shut off on me within two hours of non-activity. No intentional (or pocket) calls were placed, nor was there any record of any calling activity. No applications were running (really), the device was locked, and the screen switched off with the power button. I recharged the battery that afternoon and have been at least five days without any similar issue. This incidence may have been related to the random waking up thing, but I'm really confused and nervous about it...

Sound Issues ~ Furthermore, other posts have mentioned verified issues with bluetooth headsets and the "hollow/tinny/cutting-in-and-out" outgoing sound characteristics. For those who may be interested, I would like to note that I have received a variety of complaints (identical to those listed above) from various callers while utilizing the regular speaker, the speaker-phone, and especially the included wired headset accessory. I havn't even gotten to use my BT headset yet, but I'm betting when it arrives that the problem will be the same.

Any Advice? ~ Since this is my first post, I hope the information was helpful/relevant, and I apologize if anything was off about it. I'm not sure if this is a good place to post this, but I am seeking some friendly advice from PPC veterans on how to proceed. This is my first PDA-phone experience and I still have a week left to return/exchange this phone and/or add the Total Equipment Protection plan. I really like my neat new phone, but considering these issues, I'm afraid of getting stuck with a lemon... Any and all advice is appreciated, so if you're interested - please PM me.

Remedy to alarm in sleep mode while on power source.

(I dont have much time to search 50+ threads to see if this has already been posted)

I had the problem with my alarm not going off while my device was in sleep mode and plugged into a power source. I came across a possible remedy (not a work around. :P )

The remedy presented itself when I needed to review a document for work at 7am before I left for the office:

I set my active-sync to auto pull from an Exchange server at 7am.
I also set a meeting maker via my calendar for 7am.

While plugged in to a power source, and in sleep mode, my device wakes up to issue my meeting reminder, and at 7am it pull from Exchange and notifies me of new mail. It also issues my 7am alarm as well. (All while still plugged into a power source.)

Since then, I have moved my active sync to start at 8am, and have no 7am meetings. But sure enough, my 7am alarm now pulls my device out of sleep when plugged in and works just fine.

I sure as hell have no plans to hard-reset and retest

i was on my 6 one with constant internet connection issues loosing signal in fully covered areas
droping calls non stop everyday etc.......

problems i never had with the 6700....

anyway the good thing sprint s reps were so dumb once they cleared my account they didnt ask for their mogul back
since i didnt pay for it i ve put it on my bill wich is now 0 $
the mogul is mine free of charge ....

the bad thing is ATTs internet as we all know cant be compared to sprints but well i can live with that since i live in a 1X area anyway

so the other good thing is i am free to get any phone i am pleased and as u know there is a lot of choice when u roll on GSM

This happened to me today. It went into a non ending cycle. I had to hard reset and restore factory settings. Now i'm rebuilding it. It happened after I tried to install the ptTravelAlarm plug in.

My alarms do not come on. Is there a solution yet? How about a 3rd party alarm software, will I run into the same issue?

So, in other words, your time is more valuable than ours, huh? Then good luck with that.

If you set your phone to answer when the bluetooth headset is on in 2 or 3 rings it will answer even if the headset is turned off. I've had it in my holster the headset in my pocket turned off and it will answer to the phone. So that when i go to look to see who's calling on the caller id, it has already answered the phone.

I'm experiencing:

* occasional reboot loop
* occasional royal screw ups requiring hard reset (phone locks up on every boot)
* Screen constantly activates itself (even when i'm not moving or in a dead zone -- just sitting in one place)
* Callers report VERY poor sound quality when using the included wired headset
* Memory seems to leak a lot. Constantly getting that 'out of memory' msg.
