I wanted to create this thread so we can post what apps we've tried and worked, or didn't work, or if there any issues with them...

I have installed:

• iLauncher 3.0.0.5
• PhoneAlarm Lite 1.58 + Jinks Clear Skin (modified by me)
• Resco Explorer 2007 + Registry and FTP addins
• IliumSoft NewsBreak
• IliumSoft eWallet
• SK Tools 3.1.6

Anyone else with iLauncher notice that the battery meter takes some time to reflect the battery level when you wake up the device?

Also, with the iLauncher task manager, I have tried to set the Phone application to be ignored but it doesn't work, after a while it comes back to the task manager. It also shows one Phone application for every phone related function; for example if both the dial pad and recent call log are open, the Phone app shows twice on the iLauncher task manager. Any ideas?

Here's a list of a my must-have apps... I have not tested all of them yet, however, I will post if I find trouble with any of them...

• Palringo - IM application with PTT and picture support; currently in beta status with plannes support for MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, and others. App will be free with the option to pay for premium features. - Works so far
  
• PhoneAlarm - Today screen display of missed calls, messages, etc. Very skinnable and also provides profiles. - Works so far
  
• WeatherPanel - Today plugin for weather. Endless skin possibilities, awesome app!
  
• Mark All as Read CAB - Small app that adds the options to Mark All as Read and Delete All to POutlook. - Free. - Works so far
  
• Agenda One - PIM Replacement.
  
• MemMaid - Similar to SK Tools, more streamlined with less options. I like SK Tools better.
  
• Mortscript - Allows to run scripts. The community is working a lot with this! Free.
  
• UITweaker - Allows to change User Interface colors - Free.
  
• UPX4PPC - Allows to compress files and makes them run faster. It was more useful for devices that do not have as much device memory, still good to have handy - Free.
  
• DictMgr - Allows you to edit the dictionary used by auto-completion on the device - Free.
  
• Spb Mobile Shell - Advanced but simple Today plugin with tabs, Start menu replacement, a Now screen that can be used as a loc with info like time, appointments, weather, etc.

Happens on my 6700 (6800 was ordered today...I'm slow) every time the phone wakes up.

Happens on version 3.0.0.5 as well. No idea. I searched on SBSH forums and found this thread

I assume you downloaded spb mobile shell 1.5 which fully support wm6....

@jeffH70: I have not installed Shell yet, but yes, I was even using 1.5 on my 700wx.

@jamesus: Congratulations on the order!

Weird thing is, on my 700wx after I set the task manager to not display the phone application it vanished completely and never bothered me again.

installed these on my girlfreinds ppc and they worked fine.

I finally got around to installing Spb Mobile Shell 1.5, even though it works well, it does not allow me to move the Spb Mobile Shell plugin within thw Today Screen, it's stuck on top... however, I was able to put PhoneAlarm on top of Shell on my 700wx so this is quote annoying.

Don't install XCpuscalar !!! freeze your ppc. i had problems with this application.

Did you use the beta or the final release? The final was out on Jun. 19. If you got it earlier then it must be beta.

I got the final version from Spb main site, note the forum... however, I had also read this happens on the 6700, but Marty from PDAPhoneHome gave me the solution!!!

I tested it and works, change the entry and soft reset.

how do you get aim on this phone? i would like to get aim 6.5 or whatever its up too now..

Magic Button, works but not like I had hoped. I guess I'd like to be able to hit OK on the keyboard and have it close, not minimize, the app. May have to look for other solutions even if they do cost me money.

So far the one application I have failed to install is Pocket Sudoku. Seems to give me a . NET-related error despite this phone having the newest version of . NET by default. Anyone else use this, or have a highly-recommended version of Sudoku that does work?

A new issue with Spb Mobile Shell...

Sometimes when I wake the phone up, it bypasses the Now screen and kicks me to the Today screen... it kinda defies the whole purpose.

It feels as if the device runs an app when awakened and this makes it bypass the Now screen.

Can anyone confirm this?

Same issue here... the funny thing is the soft keys when this happens are still the ones from the Today screen.

I've since disabled Start on Today Screen but every once in a while I still get the Today screen soft keys when I turn the phone on.

I wonder if this is a 1.5 issue or a WM6 issue. I never saw this on my Mobile Shell 1.0 on the 700WX.

The aims that you use on your pc will not work on your phone, when i get home from work ill post aim2.0 witch is the closest thing to aim, atleast in my opinion

Spb Time does not work. Woke up late this morning. You can see the alarm go off, but will not hear it till you hit "dismiss".

What is the name of the software that lets you have tray icons in the lower right corner?

Uhmm there's many of them... I don't remember if cLauncher will allow you to, I know iLauncher does though (but it's not free).

I cannot be 100% sure, but it seems that Sprite Backup 5.1 is NOT compatible with WM6/Mogul.

It seems to be the root of my issues and also when I try to restore a backup I end up on an endless loop of automatic soft resets.

Im Not sure, but yesturday tried using contacts backup to save her contacts, and it would hang and go no where. It wouldnt lock up the phone, but the app would just hang and not do anything. so i take it contacts backup is a no go.

I have attempted to install resco reg addin for 2007
registrymui_p.arm.cab and it installs fine however when attemping to run I get teh following error

I have uninstalled/reinstalled and I keep getting this error message...any ideas?

My Palm folding Universal Keyboard with driver v2.0.0.5. Some functions like screen rotate don't work but for the most part it works fine.

Has anyone verified if Style Tap works on the 6800?

I believe VJ said he would work on a Candela version for WM6/Mogul.

I have downloaded Spb mobile shell and phonealarm. I did the reg hack for the phone alarm but how do I move them around? I want phonealarm up top and get rid of the regular tasks and stuff and have mobile shell doing the rest ... can someone point me in the right direction to dothis?

Okay so I got rid of the today tasks and such but how can i move phone alarm to the top?

Okay figured that out too lol sorry guys very much a newb..

Now my only thing is phone alarm seems to be a little over to the right too much I'm using One2Touch (Bax2002): skin how can i move it to the left a little?

Okay I'm gonna quit posting now cause as i keep fkin around with this i get it working... sorry guys.

Battery Status 0.4 works like a charm EXCEPT if you enable CPU speed display - which lock the device and requires a hard reset.

PocketWeather, Calerndar+ seem to work fine.

Are there any freeware alarm programs with snooze that works with the Mogul :?:

i installed tray icons on my 6800 and all the icons work except the battery icon. anyone have a solution to this? or now of a better program im new to the ppc scene
