It says it's a trial but it doesn't give me any warnings about an expiration date.

Does phone function when tethered?

Does the phone itself function whilst you are tethered? If so does an incoming call cause the tethering connection to be dropped?

(I have a friend with a Cingular 8525 who says enabling tethering/PAM disables the phone itself until)

Thanks

I have been using my 6800 with PdaNet 1.80 for a week now. It does not stop the phones functionality. You still receive phone calls or text messages. If you answer the call, it will drop your online connection. But you can reply to text messages and it doesnt drop your connection.
Just as a side note, I did the registry tweak to disble NAI also. I just dont want to take chances and be billed even though I am on the SERO plan.
So far connection speeds with PdaNet are 2.4mps connecting via USB. Im happy. Hope the revision makes it faster though.

I've got USBModem working, but I have a question about PDANet: Does it require Activesync to be installed on the tethered computer? I've looked around a bit and haven't seen the answer.

Yes - It will not connect if it is not synced.

I used to use the built in internet connection in xp without being synced with my old 6700. anyone tried that?
