missing voicemail icon
I just did a hard reset to the stock sprint rom. After a hard reset, and then a soft to bypass the Sprint customizations, I am missing the voicemail icon.
I knew that I had two messages, and then I left myself another to see if a new one would bring it up, but it didn't. I got the notification of missed call and now three messages, but the icon and count do not appear on the today screen. Any thoughts? Thanks |
Re: missing voicemail icon
The bypass should not cause any problems with this... I would recommend going to Start-- Settings-- Phone-- Services-- Scroll down to Voicemail-- Click "Clear".. Might help you out... Good luck!

Re: missing voicemail icon
did you try deleting or saving all your voicemails so that it was back down to zero? Then leave a vm and see if you get the notification?

Re: missing voicemail icon
Also, do you stil get the text and/or email notification?

Re: missing voicemail icon
gearjunkeez - I hadn't set up my email yet, but did so now and that notification icon is displayed/working. Had a friend send a text, and that notification icon is displayed/working too. Odd thing, the text showed up as a text, but when I deleted it, it went to the trash of the email folder.
Just deleted all my vm as you suggested, then did the services > vm > clear, left a vm for myself and still no icon/notification. For clarification, I do get the pop up that says there is vm, just not the icon/notification. Thinking about it, isn't there a missed calls icon/notification too? Maybe I am just not remembering correctly, but if there is, it isn't there either. |
Re: missing voicemail icon
Yeah.. There is a missed call icon too.. That is weird you lost both icons.. What ROM are you running?

Re: missing voicemail icon
sounds like you're missing the .dll with the messaging icons. look in your /windows directory for outres.96.dll i think that's the one with the messaging icons. i'll check when iget home
