Re: Restore Defaults
Not exactly, If you have flashed a different boot loader, radio, and rom when you hard reset they all stay there. If you want to go back to stock you have to re-flash a stock rom, radio and boot. I've hard reset several times on my 6800 and olipro, sprint radio 3.35, and dcd 3.2.6 are still there. It will remove everything you've installed, your contacts, email ect ect. hence the back-up. If I'm takin it in, I don't bother, but if I was sending it back on an insurance claim I'd go back to stock. But i believe that's only if your device is still under warranty.

Yeah, I've got a boot loader, radio and rom on there. Re-flashing back to stock should take about the same time as it took to load all of the custom stuff on there, right? You said if you're taking it in you don't usually bother? Basically I'd like to take to the repair shop and get a different one. I do have TEP. I shouldn't bother doing this then? They won't attribute my broken keyboard to these custom roms? (lol) |
