Stupid ram question

my mogul... i love it with all my heart. i am not getting the pro and the only reason i would is for the 4 times more ram it has. So my question. This sounds silly to all you touch users but... it has 64 mb of ram but it only shows 45mb installed in the settings. so is there a way to fix this? thats 20 MBS MISSING I COULD HAVE LIKE 40 MBS ON BOOT WITH ALL MY STUFF GOING!

If you remove the OS, you'll see all the RAM.

It's being nice. It's not showing you 20MB that it uses for other things. Yes, that's right, it needs a full 40MB to boot up and paint the today screen. You at least get to keep the other 26mb (well, 22 after you add anything to the today screen, and 18MB once it fills all the buffers it uses in the OS.)

You can't have it back. It's not missing. It's just misunderstood.

Exactly, it is reserved for system operations. This has always been a thing with anything MS touches.

Would using a kitchenROM give you more MB in the RAM? If so, any you have tried or suggest??

Yeah, the neuROM3 6152-pre3 ROM has a Kernel switcher built in that lets you switch between having a camera and not having a camera. With the camera turned off and a 6MB pagepool I was seeing about 32MB of RAM free on boot. There are still a few issues with the ROM though, so read up on it before you use it.

Man once nueROM3 is done I will definitely be using it. :D
