it took me a few months to totally get used to the 6800's keyboard, and I'm not looking forward to doing it again, although I will likely get a touchpro.

Oh whaa. JK :)
It could be worse there could be no keyboard. That was a adjustment tho but not one I felt was to bad.

That is true about the KB being different in that way and needing to get used to. I am still not fully used to mine yet. I keep looking for my numbers at the top and I noticed there is no ($) dollar sign on there anymore. I used to use that a lot but oh well, I still like it.

IMO, 6800 is MUCH MUCH better than my old 6700. However, you might want to consider something like HTC Diamond or whatever new model they are coming out since 6800 is technology of 2-3 years ago. As a current 6800 user, I love the phone I have that can do most of the stuff no other phone can do. Only complain is lack of memory for program. I schedule soft reset every morning and it reduced "freezing".

I guess I'm afraid that if I try an insurance upgrade I would end up with a refurbed 6700 :-(

Dry here too the last month or so. Every things brown.
Come Nov. (first frost) every thing will be green again. :)

I absolutely love the 6800 over my old 6700. The only complaint I have heard is from a friend who has multiple 6700's and 6800's under his control through his company. He had lost his ability to tether with the 6800 (verizon). I don't have this issue with sprint, and I am not sure if there is a fix, just something to consider.

This is a 100% YES! I broke my 6700 by dropping in from a few inches high on the carpet! ( The USB Cable was in it, and it fell over the Jack breaking the USB connection off the main board ) I was so sad that day , but anyways I bought a 6800 a week later. took me a while to customize it back the way it was, but the phone is Smaller, lighter, Thinner, GPS is awesome! also, the scrolling key is nice. It has more ram, the CPU is about the same speed. But it is definetly a better phone. GO FOR IT!

Thats a major difference. Ya the Scroll wheel rocks. I loved it on my Blackberry and missed it on my 6700.

And you likely will but then you call back with the 14 days and tell them it isnt working for whatever reason and ask if they have any comparable units (Treo 700 or 6800) and then take the 68.
