Re: How can I type a symbol like æ (extended ascii) ?
Function key and Tab on the QWERTY keyboard will bring up the Symbols menu. Page 4 holds the symbol you want.

Re: How can I type a symbol like æ (extended ascii) ?
Thanks for the suggestion, however, this is very odd.
On page 5 and Page 7, is the symbol, but in both cases, it's the UPPER case version. I need the lower case version: æ Any idea how to do that? I don't see the lower case version on any symbol page, and I find it weird that it has the UPPER case version twice. Hmm. |

You can type a with the keyboard, hit the function key to lock it twice, then push the spacebar repeatedly until ae shows up.

In portrait mode it appears on the bottom of the 4th page.

Thanks for the screenshot. Interesting - in landscape you show 15 pages of symbols. I only have 11. Weird.... Well I guess I can do more searching now that I know that. |

Re: How can I type a symbol like æ (extended ascii) ?
Ok I got this fixed "kinda". I found a cab, that dcd made long ago for fixing a rom he released that ws missing the symbol pad:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...3&d=1198691189 for this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ghlight=forgot What's funny is I still have the same number of pages of symbols (less than darkness has) and my lowercase æ is in a different spot. But now I have it at least. I'm gonna let dcd know, I think there is an issue in the ROM... |
