This dialers is a functional Touch Dialer made for CDMA devices, especially TITAN owners like myself. This is a complete dialer with all modified images including history menu images. It has functional Speedialing, ## Dialing, 911, Smartdialing, and all necessary images to complete this dialer. (* No more need for the Blue Frog Dialer )

This dialer was specifically made for those TITAN users who were not able to get the TOUCH Dialers to work on their phones. This is a variant of the Touch dialer but it does not have all the features of the Touch Dialer. But all CDMA functions, Smart Dialing, and basic Blue Frog dialer features work.

1. Uninstall All Custom Dialers First ( CAB Version ) and then soft reset
2. Install my dialer to the Main Memory of your device followed by a soft reset
3. Enjoy

Please don't post my work on any other forums or manipulate the images/components with out letting me know or giving me credit. I put a lot of work into this. They are not perfect but I did what I could to contribute to the community.

I'm originally from XDA but I had to show love to the TITAN community here, especially the small verizon community.


I updated the Touch CAB. Some users were having issues installing the White Touch Diamond Dialer. It should work for most users now.

Nice looking dialer, with all functions working....sweet.

When I build my new rom i will select stock dialer and install this cab, hopefully someone can create a working oem so it can be flashed in the rom.

Yeah, I installed the cab to my device and it totally bricked my phone. I had no other custom dialers and my phone is permanently stuck in "No Service"... Ugh, ugh to the tenth power...

Time for a hard reset, maybe I should have taken heed that it's for a Verizon 6800, but the dialer looked so good I couldn't resist. At least I have Sprite Backup to save the day.

I also experienced the "No Service" problem after instaling this dialer. Thankfully, though, uinstalling and restarting brought it back to life. A big thumbs down for this piece of #$@#$.

Very nice! :) I had the Blue Frog dialer installed from the kitchen, but took a chance and installed the black dialer cab over it, and it works fine.

Is there a setting to change the green color on the main dialer screen to maybe the same blue as the highlighted call on the history screen? My overall theme is blue and black, so either or those would be great.

This dialer works for plenty of people including myself? Do you have a custom ROM installed or something? And it's not necessarily for Verizon. It was made using a sprint Touch.

I tested it on my own TITAN / 6800 a sprint mogul and a Sprint Touch.

the only one i could get working was the black one the other ones kept locking up my phone btw i have a mogul 6800

how did you go by installing both of them? one on top of the other? or individually followed by a soft reset?

I have a Mogul, I had the BlueFrog Touch Dialer installed, I uninstalled it first then installed the new "black dialer". The problem I'm having is, it does'nt switch to the progress screen until the call is over. I often make a call then switch on "speaker phone", can't do that with this dialer. The bottom left menu button does'nt switch to "Call Status" it says "Contacts" during a call. I had to uninstall, I like the look though, will reinstall once it's fixed. Oh and btw, the "white dialer" locks up the phone. I'm on the stock rom 3.56

Installed the cab after flashing with only stock dialer, and dialer is one of the first customs I havent had issues with (yet)... no lockups, able to switch to keypad and back to status during call, and looks clean and professional.

Sorry but I could not reproduce your problem. My other testers couldn't either.

The only time that the dialer didn't change into the progress page was when I called voicemail, but other then that it changes to the progress page perfectly and instantly.

I even created a video of when I tested it.

If you had problems with the dailer, then ask for help or make suggestion. Don't be RUDE! Anyway great work Carlo's. Been useing your dailers for awhile now, but these are far the best. Keep it up! They both work flawless on my touch.:mrgreen:

I have a totally stock touch and the white can doesnt allow you to switch to screen where speaker on is. shows contacts where progress should be. nice dialer, dont work for me.

can you be more clear with this question?

I think I got it but I'm not sure.

The progress buttons uses images and not text like the original touch dialer. All i did was change some things in the registry to remove the text but you can always add them again but it will look nasty because it will be covering the graphics.

The point is that i chose to use image instead and not text. The touch dialer does not have dedicated images for all (up/down) states in the progress page.

A dialer that does is the HTC Dialer but that is a GSM dialer. I'm working on integrating those features onto this dialer that way we can have a cleaner looking dialer with only images and no text.

Right now I'm using the black one and when I dial voicemail it doesn't directly go to the progress page / call status because you have to enter your pin first.

you can always toggle to the progress page with the "call status" button at the bottom.


I'll do more testing with the white dialer. I might even post a video again.


update:

I tested it again. I even repacked the cab again and mine works fine along with other people that I asked to test for me.
It could be a ROM specific issue.'

I can't toggle back and forth, there is no "Call Status" button it says "Contacts"...I dont' have to enter a pin to check my voicemail when I dial it from my cell, and I'm on the stock ROM 3.56. I'm not trying to give you a hard time I know you put in a lot of hours making these dialers and they look good, I just wish they worked on my phone. I don't use cooked roms, only stock from HTC's website. Maybe next time I can beta test for you.

That's interesting. I have other testers and the dialers work for them. I wonder why it doesn't work on this one?

I'm using the new sprint radio on top of a custom Verizon ROM. My other testers are using Touch phones and Moguls with Official and Custom ROM's as well.

What I can do is try to make another cab. I'll change some components and see if it works for you. Or I will cab up a Blue Frog dialer with the skin that I created.

The bluefrog dialer doesn't have as much functionality as the Touch dialer but it's an alternative.

Try the test cab that I will post. Tell me how it goes for you.

It will only say "call Status" if the call is in progress. Not if you just go to the phone. Hope that Helps.

When I uninstalled the "Black" dialer and the phone reset, the first pic is how the stock dialer looked. When I tried to install the test cab you posted, the second pic was the result. Maybe an app I have is conflicting. This is what's installed; UltimateLaunch, RLToday, PocketCM, PocketCMKeyboard, S2U2, S2P, S2V, WeatherPanel, TodayAgenda, FaceContact, GoogleMaps, TCPMP, Flash Video Bundle and SkyFire. Hope this helps

yes it has been tested on a mogul with both stock ROM and Custom ROM.

Jeezus, I've tried it twice and both times it's left my phone frozen and/or stuck in "No Service"... And this dog-gone dialier looks like it's the ish. I've never changed a dialer skin before. Do I just d/l the cab and install to the phone? Or do I need a "father program" to ensure functionality?

Did you install it to main memory or to SD Card? Did you close out all of your programs, especially the dialer and com manager?

You don't need another cab. This has all the components needed unless your ROM has a program or something that is conflicting with it.

I will make a variant based on the blue frog dialer. It is kinda like the Touch dialer but with less features.

I will most likely create a variant based on the blue frog dialer for people who have trouble installing this dialer.

I installed to the main memory and I'm using the latest Official Sprint ROM (version 3.56.651.0). Maybe a program is interfering with it. All I have is Google Maps, sMMS, cody threaded SMS, PHM Reg Editor, and HHC. I didn't think to close out of all the programs and such. I'll give it another go right now and report the findings.

It could be a program or something just something different in your ROM compared to mine and my testers.

if it doesn't work let me know. I got a substitute dialer that could work for you.

It's a no-go, it completely bricked the phone. When I press the green phone button nothing happens. Still stuck permanently with "No Service"... Time for another hard reset.

sorry carlos, when using white cab the call status at bottom left isnt there it says contacts.after I dial I like to use speakerphone and cant access it on white dialer. hope this helps.

I guess this dialer is not meant for you, but I have an alternative.

Try this dialer. It is based on the Blue frog Dialer. Follow the same steps as before.

remove any custom dialer, soft reset, install to main memory and soft reset again.

Great job Carlos. I use the Black dialer and have not had any issues. I like it very much. Would like for the green area to be bluse but other than that they are great! You will get several thanks from me. I will be linking people to your dialers.

I have a poll over at XDA for requests on the progress bar colors.

it's between black, dark gray, blue, green ( as is ) or other. depending on what goes down I will create a new one.
