Re: 6800 help
For GPS, read the "Official Titan GPS" thread at the top. If you have Sprint, you should be able to use the GPS out of the box with things like Google Maps and Windows Live Search. Verizon users have to make some more changes to get theirs working.
I would not even bother trying to upgrade to WM6.1 if you are completely new to the phone and WM in general. Familiarize yourself with the phone as it is and then do the upgrade if it still doesn't meet your needs. I personally do not have a reason to do it. Last edited by sl8763; 08-06-2008 at 05:42 PM. |

Re: 6800 help
for the alltel users you have to put special installs on after you get the "new" rom and radio update. these enable the usage of the gps through the handset. check out this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=27180 it has the files you need to get the gps started. and get familiar with the whole windows before trying to upgrade to 6.1 i just udgraded to a custom rom today and ive had mine for about 5 months. so good luck and once your ready check this out http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=33857 and just so you can get used to "hearing" this phrase. "your phone your fault"
