Just got the Mogul..need help!
 

Hello Everyone
I just received my new Mogul phone today and I have not figured how to customize my text message, email message, etc tones. I can set up a ringtone. i had the Treo 700wx and I was able to assign a downloadable mp3 to the text tones and so forth. Also, I have a blue light that keeps blinking. how do you remove the light? Last question, how do you obtain good battery life? It weird how the battery gives me an alert tahat battery is low when I have not used it. :???:Please help

For ringtones place a mp3 in the \windows\rings folder.

For the other tones place the mp3 in the \windows or \windows\rings folder..

Different roms read them from different places.. One should work.

Then go into settings and select from the sounds and notifications menu. Its in there.


For battery life make sure that you have the device to sleep when not in use..that will save battery life. Under settings\battery.


And for the blue light I believe that is the led for bluetooth if Im not mistaken.. no2chem made an app to change and\or shut off all leds

Make sure you download the cab file.. transfer to phone and tap on it in file explorer.

I am lost. I have already downloaded the songs that i want to set as mt text message tones and so forth but i am unable to set. i can only set my ringtone.

Text messages need to be WAV files and should be saved into the \windows folder

Sorry...got ahead of myself..


Basically connect phone to a pc...open file explorer and copy the mp3 into the folders either \windows or windows\rings..


Im not sure how else to explain it..... ppc's are just like a computer...files in different folders and such... As long they are in the right place they will show up in the settings menu..


When you set your ringtone are you tapping and holding on the mp3 file to get the set as ringtone option... or are you in the phone settings...

You can set the ringtone under settings\personal\phone..
You can change ringtone and other tones(texts, email, etc.) from settings\personal\sounds and notifications.

nah Im using a mp3 (actually a clipped part of the Jay-z snoopy track) for texts as we speak... sometimes they read from \windows but some roms Ive used read from \windows\rings for some reason.

If you downloaded the songs for the sprint store you cannot use them as a ringtone. Has to be wav files, and need to be placed under the sounds folder.You can use any wav you want just connect your device with active sync or put files on your memory card and then copy/paste to the correct folder. In file explorer follow this path.

Interesting it does work in that folder too..

but you can use mp3 just checked.. doesnt really matter but mp3's sound way better than wav files..smaller size too.

okay so I understand that in order for me to have the misic I WANT..I must change to wav files. So, I have mp3 files that are on my windows media player and I do not know how to change them to wav files so I can use it. Please help

by the way. i took one of my mp3 song to:
My device>app data>sounds
and it is just sitting there. where do i go from here. i went to sound& notifications to chnge the sounds for text, email and so forth and the song is not there..confused..
