Syncing Calender issues

I've done an extended search of the area, and most find contacts being this issue. I know how to set it up to sync everything, hasn't ever had an issue before as far as notes and contacts, but I never used my calender up until recently. Either way, it's refusing to sync my calender appointment, always ending in error. I was wondering how about getting them synced properly. I lost all my apps on the last rom update. I don't have outlook, did have a trial, but I'm paying M$ a million for it.
Any help would be lovely.
