HTC home and Ultimate launcher problem

I seem to be having a problem with UL and HTC Home... I have UL on my today screen with the HTC home plugin added to my UL tab... Now if i do a soft reset on my phone both HTC home and UL will launch (annoying) now if i go into my today setting and uncheck htc home my phone freezes and i have to soft reset... Now if i take UL off it will work, but i have to take UL off close out of today and then go back in and take htc home off and close that.. Then i can go back and put UL back on, also sometimes after taking these steps damn UL will freeze my phone when i scroll over to my htc tab... Any1 got any ideas? im about to just scrap htc and find something new but i like my old school flip clock...
