active sync...
 

Hey there... sometimes my active sync wont detect my phone from my pc....any suggestions on what might be wrong and how to fix it...

Try reinstalling active sync? or changing the usb port you use maybe?

I have that problem sometimes too with Vista Ultimate, I just unplug and replug once or twice and it picks up... I use mymobiler too.

I do the same thing, and am running XP Pro at work.

Try going to settings-> connections tab-> and selecting USB to PC and switching the settings or removing the check mark or whatever (basically you can choose 2 options... one is default. just select the opposite option) ... you'll see what i mean when you tap that icon... do it while the phone isn't connected to the PC and then reconnect it and that should work.

Settings-Connections-USB to PC and uncheck Enable advanced network functionality.

I had this problem too and after I unchecked the box I have never had a problem syncing.

The last suggestyion is very important in my book. Not clear to me what this advanced function is?

I have no idea either, but I do know that it causes a lot of problems with people syncing.

Mine detects the phone, for a while, then losses the connection and I usually have to unplug it and then plug it back in a few times before it picks it up again. The a few minutes later it starts all over again....maybe this will work for me too.....
