How to remove a ghost file
Hi everybody,
I had to remove the WMwifiRouter from my Mogul and now every time I restart the phone (soft rest), a window pops up and tells me: wmwr_cprog.exe "The file 'wmwr_cprog.exe' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file." Well I installed the program again and still have the problem, and after removing the program, this bug remains. How can I get rid of this message from my phone? :violent2: |
Re: How to remove a ghost file
Is there a shortcut for that listed in \Windows\Startup\? If so Delete it.

That is the problem, there is nothing. It must be somewhere in the registry or in some file that assigns values to settings but I have been unable to find it and delete it. |
Re: How to remove a ghost file
Try using MemMaid to check the notification que and the start up que.

Dude, I know what you were going through! I was recently playing around with my mogul and found out how to delete that ghost file that such a PIA! What you do is: Start menu/file explore, from the FE go to the my device section, look for the windows folder, wait a few moments so that all your programs can load, go down to your start menu folder, and look for your programs folder, open that and look for that particular file you wish to delete, and that should be it... Sorry if I confused any of you, I am sort of new to the whole PPC thing but I'm learning! HTH, Jo:violent2: |
