Exclamation Excessive heat = I am mad at myself

I got into my car and my temp display reads 185 on the dashboard.

Letting my 6800 bake on the dashboard for 5 hours today really doesn't help it. Now it is slow........... Like very slow. It takes 5 minutes for it to turn on after a soft reset and it doesn't vibrate when the soft reset button is pushed. I can't load half of what is on it for programs and what does load takes forever.

But I can still make and receive calls.

Any Ideas.... I do have insurance but I have flashed it and there is no stock ROM for it.

I might just give it a bath and claim it that way.

Ive never heard of that. Check your memory and what programs are in your start-up folder. I got PIMbackup and learned to save all my cabs to my memory card so a hard reset is only about a 15 minute setback.

Luckily insurance covers "lost" phones. Sounds like you lost it to me.

Re: Excessive heat = I am mad at myself

I have a better idea for you. Apply eccessive voltage to it, that way any melting that occured within the phone could be explained away when it fried. Power surge is covered in most insurance.

Re: Excessive heat = I am mad at myself

Well after it cooled down and about 2 dozen soft resets it seems to be working like normal with the exception of my Voice Mail indicator, It now tells me that I have new messages even though I have checked my V/M and made sure it was clear.

Re: Excessive heat = I am mad at myself

man... jus a usb chord off inside of your phone... then, take it to a repair center... find the ugliest girl or dude (depending on yo sex) and go over to them and make them laugh... then tell them that ya fone broke, and is there a way that you can get a replacement... they'll look at it, scribble in the computer... take ya fone, and send you another one in a couple days...

you dont have to worry about payin the fifty bucks...
