weedahoe, I am wondering if when you did the rom were all those in the rom? I am getting ready to flash my phone when I get home and love your home page and customizations, especially the gps on the home page, and want to make sure I do this right, thanks!

THX but I think the Today screen is very basic as this was by first build and no where near where I want to be. Those options that I lised above were the things I chose in BuildOS to include in the ROM I was cooking.

Re: VERIZON GPS Thread

After three months of trial and error, walking around the yard at midnight, etc I think the following is true about Verizon GPS
(1) Without an AGPS Server the onboard GPS must have a good view of the sky to get a lock. Folks who live in an open are get fast locks with mant sats, folks in crowed urban areas with restricted views suffer.

I just left my 6900 on the table next to me for 5 minutes: nothing. Placed it in in the kitchen window with a view of the southern sky and got locked on 3 sats inside 60 seconds.

Driving down the highway I get locks with 5-7 sats in 15 - 45 seconds almost all of the time. Same highway during a thunderstorm, 3 - 5 minutes, 2-3 sats.

(2) I have had my SUPL AssistedGPS = 0, and GPSMode = 1 for a week and see the same results consistantly. The Bell 3.42.50 radio helped my phone but GPS remained the same.

(3) If there were a way to use the Sprint AGPS server, or Verizon provides one, we would see the same fast locks inside or out.

yeah it all depends on the phone you have, some people get great results, others are never able to connect to a sat

Well I am the type person that believes it is end-user issues or configuration issues on the software side.
