voice command problem

Ok I have had this problem ever since I updated my ROM:

When I try to set a voice setting, it will not recognise and i will have to shout loudly and hold it for about a full second or more. i never had this problem before updating. Does anyone know how this can b fixed? Or should I call htc i hate their customer service!
