6800 not syncing!! Please Help!
 

Don't know what's gone wrong... I was able to sync the other day, and now I have hooked up my phone to my laptop and the light comes on that it's charging, but nothing else is happening. I deleted the sync partnership in the phone to see if it was a bad file and now I have lost my contacts. Can't seem to figure out what I've done wrong. Nothing has changed with my laptop and 6800 since the other day... Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I am using Windows Mobile Device Center to sync with Windows Vista. Have had the phone for a couple months and everything til now has worked fine. I tried searching and came up with nothing... If there is a link out there could you please point me to the right direction.

No that didn't work... Mine was already unchecked... I'm not even getting the noise from the computer that detects a device. It's still however charging the phone...

i had this problem and it turned out there was something wrong with my phone... sprint replaced it

did you read my post about the active sync settings on your phone?

Also have you tried a different usb port, a different cable or even a different computer?

Are you referring to changing the advanced usb settings? If so mine weren't even checked to begin with... I tried it checked and still nothing... I also tried different ports. I even plugged other devices into my computer and it recognizes those, just not my 6800...

try plugging your device in to a different computer that way you can rule out a hardware/software issue on your machine. so if it works on another computer then you know something has to be wrong with your machine rather then something wrong with the PPC. just try to narrow down where to problem is

Wish I could... Right now don't have access to another PC. I installed some Vista updates last night and I'm going to try and restore to see if that is causing it...

It almost seems like it's on the comps end. It doesn't make the sound and I used to be able to see the 6800 under My Computer, and now it doesn't show up there. It does charge though...
