Check your screws!!!
 

I was playing around with my phone today and it felt a little off... sorta loose. After taking off the battery cover i noticed that 2 of the 4 screws had fallen out and a third was about to. Now this phone had never been taken apart other then anything HTC might have done to it... (not a reman). I have dropped it a time or to but that should not cause 3 screws to fall out... Just thought i would give you all one more thing to look at on your phone before you are missing some screws.

Weird... this happened to me last week. I opened the battery compartment and it looked like one of my screws was stripped, and I turned the phone over and it slid right out!

Not a refurbished phone either.... Never dropped, not even ONCE

Just checked mine and 2 were missing and the other 2 were loose! What the???? Brand new out of the box...or at least I thought. :scratch:

I'm missing 3 of the 4 screws on mine. I have dropped it numerous times and it has been to Sprint once to tighten a loose screen and they didn't seem to notice or bother to replace them. I should bring it in hahahaha damn.

Couldn't agree more.. lol.. This is sad though, really.. I'd start a huge petition, if I were a mogul user.. This is crap, and they shouldn't let this kind of thing, out. I say, let them have it.. Just because the Raphael is a sleek and sexy beast, doesn't mean they can slip up, everywhere else! I say, we need to make a new poll, asking such a question:
Are your nuts and bolts loose?

Wow, checked mine for the heck of it and sure enough, one fell out and 2 are loose...

Now... How to screw them back in... Not sure I have that kind of screwdriver..

They are mini torx screws... Very common in high-tech electronic devices

I have found w/ past phones; if you use the phone in vibration mode a lot, that will always cause the screws to back out over time. Loctite is a good solution as long as you never plan to open it up.

I took mine apart awhile back and it was missing one screw. Since i had the mini torx laying around, I was able to tighten it up. If i remember right, it's a t8 bit. You an usually pick them up at Home Depot, Lowe's, or any home improvement store. I ended up with the driver that has lots of little bits, as I take everything apart. I think it ran me like 5-10 USD. I replaced the screw with one from one of my old cell phones, luckily i had several of those laying around. In fact, if I find the box that i stashed the old phones in, I can probably send out some of the screws.

I've got all 4.. they weren't super tight.. so i put a little elbow grease on them.. they're fine now..

Actually, after I believe 2006, all cell phones microphones are able to be turned on and off, by the so called law enforcement agencies of the federal, and state governments. That is phones manufactured from 06, or 07 on. They can turn them on and listen to what is being said at any time, as long as there is signal to give them access to the phone. Even if the phone is powered off. The only way to stop the access, is to remove the battery. I saw this on the news a couple years ago. It's to "fight terrorism", of course.:protest: bullsh%t

No wonder my phones acts normal. No screws loose. LOL.

Joking aside. Sorry to hear bout these screw issues. I've never had issue like this with any sprint phones (well mainly Treos). Even refurbs. Do you guys have any problems with the phone functions, etc?
