Request: Verizon Agps help getting server ip
heres my idea. we need something running vznavigator that can run some kind of app that can track what ip adress the phone is contacting.
Heres my ideal setup, but others might work as well: motorola q9c that has vz nav running, open up dotfred task manager, and under net stats, click TCP table (resolve addresses) that gives a list of the IPs that the phone is contacting. if we can figure out which one vznav uses for agps, then maybe we can port that adress into the registry of the titan or other vzw "gps enabled" phone. any help or other ideas would be much appreciated. |

does no one else want this or have any thoughts about how to get it done?

Re: Request: Verizon Agps help getting server ip
There is already a thread about a-GPS here some place. Its kinda old so it might be hard to find. To sum it up This is the reg edit they came up with....
A-GPS reg edit HKLM/Software/HTC/SUPLAGPS/ GPSMode --> Change to 4 (orginal value 2) Im sure it has VZ info also. Some say it helps some say it don't do anything choice is yours. On my phone I can say it has made a difference with some applications. Ex:Vito Find Me GPS. I probably do it out of habit at this point. |

so that 4 from 2, might do something, but more likely case, is it doesnt. we need to know what ip adress vznav contacts when it uses agps since thats the only gps enabled verizon program, and they dont ahve any straight up gps enabled phones. |
