How to delete missing shortcuts?

I'm looking for an easy way to delete missing shortcuts to icons/apps that the remove programs function didn't handle. I tried to search didn't quite find the info I needed. any help would be awesome.

im not sure what you are asking how can u delete something thats missing (not there)???? can u explain with a little more detail????

Im not sure if this is what your looking for but here goes.

Open "File Explorer" and navigate to your "Device"
Click the Windows Folder, then scroll to "Start Menu" then Programs etc..

Delete what you no longer want.

Sorry - What I had meant -

I used the remove programs - in settings. Deleted the item I wanted and it removed the the app from the list.

But when I goto start - programs - it still has the icon for the program.

make sense?

thats just a shortcut...you can delete it just like medinatwin says.
