Gmail on the xv6800

OK this may or may not already be posted, but I can't seem to find anything any longer regarding the 6800 since the dang touch came out! Anyway, here's the deal. I have gmail set up to get my other 3 POP accounts. So when I go to gmail.com from my laptop, and not only get the email, but also when I hit compose I have a drop down to select which account I want to send it from. This is how it normally works so all is good there.

However, when I open up Opera Mini and go to the full gmail site (not the mobile) everything looks the same. I can get the emails from all accounts. BUT when I go to Compose mail, there is no drop down to select which account I want to send from. That is the ONLY difference I see in the two pages.

So,
1. why is this happening? Is it a verizon restriction somehow, I dont see how it would be.
2. what solutions are there to be able to send emails from any pop account from gmail? I tried the IMAP settings, but it didnt work. Not to mention, I couldn't change the settings on my mobile email to anything but POP.
3. I do have the 4 accounts set up in my mobile mail (gmail, pop account1, pop account2, and pop account3). And they are working just fine. Issues is I get way too much spam from all the account except gmail. And I havent found a way to stop it so I am trying to filter everything thru gmail (which does a great job filtering the junk). But I want ONE solution.

I checked this out, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUNtOKDOcPw, but I havent seen any posts on it so I am not sure if it would work

Sorry for the long post, thanks.

Re: Gmail on the xv6800

This is a limitation with Windows mobile and it's built in email client. I'm not sure if Flexmail or another 3rd party program allows you to change the "from" field but I haven't seen any way to specify that in the default app.

There are a lot of people using the Java GMAIL client but as with any java application you wont be alerted to any new messages and integration with the rest of the O/S is limited. Also, I dont think you can specify the "from" field in the java client either.

So essentially, there isn't a solution to use multiple pop accounts from one app/portal then? Seems like someone would have created one by now...
