HTC plug to 3.5mm audio

had anyone found out a way to fix the audio output on the mogul. after doing the last update the adapter that i purchased to covert the htc plug to the mini plug, which allows you to be able to plug the phone to external speakers, doesnt work anymore. does any one know of an adapter that still works or how to fix the problem?!
