Mode of Operation: EVDO Only

Back when I had the rev0 rom on my phone, I would put it into evdo only mode to prevent calls from interrupting a download while I was using my phone as a modem with my pc.

Ever since I went to the revA update, when I put my phone into EVDO Only mode, it fails to get a signal.

Any way to get EVDO only mode working again with revA?

Anyone else with the same issue?

Thanks for your input.

Re: Mode of Operation: EVDO Only

All I can offer is that I haven't seen the same problem. I just tested by switching to EVDO-only mode, and I had no issues with signal or data transfer. I am in a Rev A coverage area, and I'm on the official Sprint 3.35 ROM.

Good luck in resolving your issue.

hkm/software/oem/phonesetting

change dword hiddenmodeoperationpage to 0

soft reset

goto phone settings servises, and mode of operation will be there, click get settings and choose what you want. (focing evdo disables phonecalls and sms)

Yes... Just to reiterate, you should NOT leave your phone in EVDO-only mode unless you enjoy missing phone calls. You may be able to make outgoing calls, but you won't receive incoming calls, and you may not get voicemail notifications until hours or days later. I know this because I made that mistake once .

EVDO-only mode may be helpful for phone-as-modem sessions, per the OP.
