yup, turn by turn, announces turns with actual street names, alerts you to traffic, you can get a time, distance and ETA overview, pick fastest or shortest route, search for stuff near you, and so on. it's also pretty quick to catch any deviations. it will load up nearby streets for fast rerouting, but anything beyond like 2 blocks and it has to phonee home and recompute.
I wish it could switch between fastest and shortest on the fly, but you have to cancel the current route to get to the settings menu. it's real easy to pick up where you left off.
i'll keep live search cuz it also searches phone numbers, and it seems to cache static maps better.

Is it too late to get the 30 day trial? I can't find it on the website.

I can't seem to get that new cab that was posted. is it gone?
the reason I ask is cuz my current install started going all wonky. the sound kept looping over and over until i could mute it. so now i uninstalled
there seems to be a newer version of live search out now, with better traffic coverage.
