skype for the mogul?

i remember seeing something about this a week or two ago, but i cant find the thread, so two questions
1. does it exist
2. if it does, do i connect my phone to my computer and use the phone as a camera, or can i just use skype on the phone without my computer?

You can find it at http://www.skype.com The phone portion of the newest version does not work but why would you want to use that anyways. There is currently no camera support as far as I know.

Here's an recent example of one reason: I was in Mexico at a resort with free WiFi. I needed to call the dive shop. I've got SkypeOut. I don't want to pay the exhorbitant international roaming fees to make the call, and I don't want to pay the exhorbitant fee charged by the hotel for local calls.

Another example might be taking my Mogul to England in order to use the organizer functions and GPS. I've got a good WiFi signal but there's no CDMA network for making cellular calls (even if I were willing to pay the international roaming rate).

Did you take a look at fring.com --- seems to link well to skye and others.

There are older versions of Skype that work on the Mogul.. there are other threads here that detail them and what version you want to download.

could you be a pal and post a link to those. i have search and most of the threads on text only versions of skype i haven't been able to find one with a good download to make the phone work too.

I just uploaded the version I have used on my mogul with Skype out. It works reasonably well, not the best as the audio on my end is a little choppy, but people I have called said it sounds good on their end. Hope this helps you out.
