WMDC Problem

I can't get my phone to connect to my laptop. I am running Windows Vista Home premium, Outlook 2007, WMDC 6.1. When I connect my phone to the USB cable, my computer trys to install the drivers. The windows-based mobile device driver always fails to install, and I cannot connect my phone to my computer. It worked perfectly on an XP machine just an hour ago. Any ideas? I have a sprint mogul with the newest official ROM from HTC America.

Start > Settings > Connections > USB to PC. Uncheck the box.

Before connecting mogul to the pc, try to do a clearn boot on the pc and soft reset on the mogul. I had a similar problem, but doing the above took care of it.
