!!!!No incoming Calls!!!!
So...Ive had the 6800 for about two weeks now. No problems, but all of a suddent I can't receive phone calls or text messages when my phone is in hibernation. What gives? Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? Do I really have to leave the phone on all the time to get calls? :(
And by "on", I mean not in hibernation, fully active. |
Re: !!!!No incoming Calls!!!!
is your phone constantly connected to 1x and actively getting data? Have you installed any programs which may frequently download from the internet?
answer to your question.. the phone can be in hibernation and receive calls / texts. |
Re: !!!!No incoming Calls!!!!
I'm not really sure what you mean by 1x, but I dont think it is because there is nothing on the screen that would indicate that. Also, the only things I've downloaded is a today screen and a task manager and I had both of those before the phone started doing this. I've been playing with it trying to figure out what the deal is. No luck yet though.

Re: !!!!No incoming Calls!!!!
so your phone is not connected to "the internet" 1X or EVDO? at the top of the today screen next to the speaker.

Re: !!!!No incoming Calls!!!!
Ohhh......it does say EV, but I have no clue how to turn that off. Any suggestions?

Re: !!!!No incoming Calls!!!!

Re: !!!!No incoming Calls!!!!
I'm on alltel and have also had this happen to me. I changed the settings like in this forum. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=11296 I also do one soft reset every day and now my phones rings all the time.

Re: !!!!No incoming Calls!!!!
Another cause that I've experienced is installing Schap's Advanced Config 2.0 or earlier. I have not used the more recent builds so I'm not sure if they are still affected.
It's a great tool, but be careful with it if you use it. :) |

By default, Mogul hide the mode of operation, you can enable it by going to HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting\HiddenModeOperation Page Change from 1 to 0 Save and soft reset then go to Start > Settings > Phone > Services > Mode of operation You will now have 3 choices, Hybrid (default), EVDO, and 1X. If you are in EVDO mode only, then you can't receive voice calls. |
