Few Questions
First, I have seen a few people wth icon in the bottom right hand corner of thier screens in the today window. I am not sure if they are shourcuts or what but I specifically I saw what looked like power, reset, etc... buttons. can someone please help me fid them

Yes they are shortcuts. They are called tray icons.
I believe the program that you are looking for is psShutXP
