Turning off the screen while syncing
 
I'm wondering if there is a way to turn off the screen entirely while it's synced to my PC? I wish to tether and use the 3g connection but i don't want to add to battery drain by keeping the screen on.

Backlight settings?

Backlight will only make it dimmer, I want it to turn off entirely such as when you hit the powerbutton and the screen is completely dark.
