Alltel PPC-6800 Roaming Problem fix.

I figured out how to fix the stupid roaming issue with Alltel PPC-6800 after a rom upgrade.
Press your phone button then dial *228 then press whatever is related to actavate your phone (it was 2 for me) then it will program your phone. After a reset my roaming icon was gone.

Not only did this rid my phone of the roaming icon, my time is now correct after a reboot. I spent a lot of time over the past few months trying to figure out why my time was off an hour, and made no progress.

I think what this does it put the the SID back to what is specified on your account.

I'm glad it worked for you ephone1. There was a thred a while back with people that had the same problem as us. I hope all of them find this thread.

Is there an official ROM upgrade for alltel? or are you using a custom one....if so, which one, and why do you recommend it?
