Mogel replaced with a touch? =/ whats your opinion

Ok. Here is the story. i've been haveing a real hard time with sprint lately. My account was frauded twice (once in sept and once in nov 2007) for two mogul that were sent to washington dc. i live in sunny california (even though it isnt sunny today). so i lost my mogul last tuesday and had a hard time to have them replace it. Being phoneless for a good 10 days, i called ascurion yesterday to see what the deal was. they said the mogul is backordered and that when it come in they will send one out. today i get a package and its a TOUCH! =/ i loved my mogul. and was lookin forward to the GPS. the touch looks nice and all but it doesnt have the keyboard. I dont know much about the touch. do you guys have any inputs? should i send it back and wait for the mogul to come in? should i keep the touch and bid adu to the mogul forum and migrate to the touch forum of ppcgeeks? why o why does sprint make everything so hard for me =(

I think Im having a Touch arrive today, and im sending it back. I want my mogul back. I cant text with the damn touch.

I tried talking a co-worker out of buying a touch and getting a 6800, but he went with the touch anyway.

He had it for a few days and called me up because he couldn't stand texting with it until I told him about the touchpal keyboard. He installed touchpal and hasn't looked back.

I would love the extra ram of the touch and I really like the flush screen, but I don't want to give up the keyboard, wifi, and camera flash (for flashlight).

I understand the appeal of the touch, and I'd recommend giving touchpal a try for now. It's still going to be slower than typing on the mogul, but it's much better than the default touch keyboard.

Personally, I have a Mogul (although its on Alltel & called the PPC-6800) and would love a Touch instead. The Mogul is cool and all - but honestly, I just don't type enough to need that keyboard & to have the added bulk. If you read around, you'll see the Touch & Mogule are very similar, except I think for the keyboard and the amount of memory built in. The Touch has more. However, with the lastest Official ROM release (I'm using DCD's version of it for my Alltel) - I've noticed my device runs pretty darn fluid now. 200% improvement over the stock ROM that came with the phone.

All that aside - I'd still rather have a Touch, just because its smaller in size...so if any of you's Alltel folks wanna do an even trade for a PPC-6800 - PM me

im willing to trade my mogul for a touch ??????? the mogul is not in the best shape but ill trade ???? maybe even add more money for the touch ??? too ?????

i jus off the phone with ascurion cust rep. they said that if i cant get the phone replaced in 30 days, since the mogul is back ordered, then i have to keep the touch.
