Touch Pro Update
For those users that have a Touch Pro you will need to install the HTC SlindingSound.cab file that is attached to this post. Once you install you will then need to do a soft rest of the phone for the app to show up under settings.

I've put together a MEGA Sliding Sound Pack for myself and my friends and thought I would share it with the peeps on PPCGeeks. You can also uninstall this cab if you need the extra ram back. If you see your work here, Thanks!

I have made a small update to this cab and changed out the Gun Shot with Achmed the Dead Terrorist.

nice one.. d/l'ing now. -- EDIT - hey, any chance of posting just the .wavs in addition to the cab ? i don't want to install these. i rather manually edit the reg and insert the ones i want...

Sounds are great! thanks so much, I just started playing around with making some of my own and editing them into registry and so far is going great, will try to post what I make when I have finished making all mine.

I had been waiting for someone to .cab this up..I was really excited, but I forgot that my DCD ROM no longer has an option for sliding sounds.

Fantastic. I've got multiple people in my office with the same phone, and we ALL use the xylophone, which is getting really old. This pack was just what I needed. The Transformers sound was perfect.

Extract with winrar and you will have a .txt file and a .cab file. Copy the .cab file to your phone via active sync and then tap on it on your phone and it will install it for you.

Ha! agreed.. my wife hates all of them already.
I never was a huge transformers fan, but everyone seems to be wild over the transformers.wav for sliding sounds.. but what exactly IS that sound.. is it the sound they make when they transform ? or what.......

As I mentioned, I'm running DCDs 3.0.1 and he has removed the sliding sounds. I'm not comfortable with using a kitchen, is it possible to "reinstall' this? via .cab perhaps...

how do I add my own sounds on top of these? I have 2 wav files of Quagmire from Family guy that goes "Gigity gigity" and "Allllriiiight"

make them into 2 files - representing the next sequential number of files already being used for the the sliding sounds..
so say you already are using 12 sounds.
rename your new files to 13_in.wav and 13_out.wav
then copy them to your \windows directory of the phone.
then regedit to add the new .wavs, in HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\SLIDINGSOUND

You need to unrar the file and copy the cab to your storage card and install. WinRar can be found at http://www.rarlabs.com/

Does this slidng sounds file require a custom ROM? I have the stock ROM, but wasn't sure if I had to have a custom ROM before trying to instal this.

yo can someone please tell me how to run the rar file on my fone i have a htc mogul i can only run cab files i mean when i try to run it it says some mess about run the application first then this file from within the application i dont understand PLEASE help!!!!
