shorten sms vibrate & photocontacts alternative

I've been online since about 1:15am and I feel like I have scoured every part of the internet to no avail. i HATE the 3-4 sec vibration of the sms text when I receive one. The only time I am at peace is when I have photocontacts on vibration. It vibrates twice and ends. Ideally, I would like to be able to have my sms tone play and it only vibrate twice. Is this at all possible? If not twice, I would simply like it to vibrate for maybe 2 secs and play the tone. Honestly, the only reason I still have photocontacts is because no matter how long the tone is, when I select the new msg I've received, it cuts off the tone. I'm starting to have issues with photocontats so if there is any help in that regard, I would be eternally grateful.
