Do try www.nav4all.com and while it needs a keep-alive like Holux GPS viewer, its FREE and gives audible turn by turn directions in dozens of languages. Requires literally only bits if data to reroute if you goof so data cost is minimal if you dont have an unlimited data plan.

iGuidance is awesome once you've setup the workarounds. After that, it's a simple one-click startup to get it running.

So why no love for copilot? Everyone likes tomtom? Doesn't copilot read street names (tts)? Copilot also has a nicer looking map and interface IMO. Why does no one use it? Just because tomtom is less expensive?

hey just thought id give a brief review of mapquest navigator it's very similiar to telenav as fsr as being internet based and having voice prompts but withone plus being it downloads the whole route instead of parts like telenav but after testing mapquest im sticking with telenav i like how it tells you whivh side of the street your destination is very helpful for small out of sight places so id have to go with telenav but if you would like to try mapquest there is a 7 day trial available and should you decide to cancel it is simple and hassle free

I have had a hard time while using google maps lately, with the new GPS function it seems to crash and burn every ten minutes.

I tried Nav4All and found that I couldn't get it to find the GPS even with the settings manually entered and GPSView running.

My only problem with Mapquest is that in the past (using the internet site) its been very bad at its directions. Giving wrong turns and roundabout directions.

My biggest problem with the "normal" ones is the $100 to $200 cost to obtain the software and maps when it only costs them $10 for the install disc and $30 for a 2gb card (retail rates). Personally, I would gladly pay $20 for the software download and then $30 to Download the newest maps onto my own card. But I guess Im a cheapskate like that.

TomTom has been aces for me. It found locations that other software has not. I really havent had an issue with it not finding an address. Maybe once in a while it doesnt have a POI (Shopping Mall or Store) that Im looking for, but thats not a huge deal...

For me its iGuidance. Don't see how most people don't seem to care too much, but for me its vital to have street names announced. Having the street names announced gives me a much better sense of where I am and where I'm going. As opposed to just "turn right in 1 mile, turn left in 2 miles". Instead I get "continue 2.3 miles on Connecticut Avenue, then turn right on Calvert Street"

Does iGuidance have a good user interface like TomTom? And how are the maps are they current? (Meaning kept current).
