Icon - Black square / blue triangle

Hey guys,

An icon is showing that was never there before.
What is the black square with the blue triangle directly to the left of the Ev or 1X Icon?

I have a feeling its a roaming icon, but it's never had it... even while roaming.
Can somebody confirm this? I am at work and do not have access to the instruction booklet

It is roaming.

I get the triangle all the time and that's roaming.

It worked in the original ROM (2.09?) but the last 2 upgrades somehow made it never appear (at least for most people from what I have read). Im assuming they just fixed the bug that got introduced with the VERY buggy 2.17 release.

I am now seeing this also now that I am on 3.35. When I was on 2.17 I never seen it. I got hit with roaming charges on my last bill. I called sprint and complained that I never seen a roaming icon and that I have the roaming "call guard" on. I refused to pay an extra $5 for unlimited roaming. They finally gave in and gave me "America Roaming" for free!! I think they knew about this problem with the mogul and had no choice but to give in.

Finally, I catch a break!!

what the hell plan did you have.... I thought all sprint plans were free roaming?

Those of you seeing the icon when you normally wouldn't need to run the IOTA tool to reprovision your data services.

Start > Settings > Phone > Services > Internet
