I haven't tried the new trial version but the old one and i have used my Macbook PRO, Macbook, and PSP all at the same time using WMwifirouter. My lady was using Macbook PRO to look at her sites, my friend using macbook to check emails and I was using PSP just to see if it would connect to the WMwifirouter. Wasn't the fastest of speeds, but they didn't really notice much of a difference while they were surfing.

WMWifiRouter allows that, just set the up the encryption on the ad-hoc network that you or WMWifiRouter set up on your pda. Then enter that key when you connect to that network from your laptop.
