I know the odds of somebody having my same configuration are almost nill, but I'll post my woe and see if anybody can help.
First and foremost I have really been enjoying this site. People are smart, well spoken, and for the most part flameless.. this is definately one of the nicer corners of the net. This is my first post, so I thought I would just post some props for the site owners.
Ok my problem is, and I am not sure if technically either products in question support each other.
Ok.. (boy am I long winded) I have a Alpine x-001 car stereo with bluetooth module and an Altell based HTC 6800.
I can get the Alpine and the 6800 to pair up just fine, but I can't get the Alpine to read the phonebook from the phone. It hasn't ever worked with the 6800 using any rom, from stock Altell rom to Nue's rom.
I use to have a Motorolla Q that was running PPC 5.0 and it worked, but I can't get this phone to work with it at all. I can make/answer calls, just not read the ohonebook and call history via the Alpine interface.
Alpine's site don't mention supporting any HTC phones. But since the Moto Q worked, I assumed that it can read the way PPC stores data.
Any suggestions, info? I also saw with some custom Roms I had problems sycning 2 phones together and pushing contacts back and forth, but I am currently running Nue's 5050 rom and it seems to work fine in it. I have also checked the Registy and obex is turned on.
Thanks for any help/suggestions anybody can offer. Love this site!
