I have a Jawbone and I've used an old Samsung (WEP 100, I think). They both work fine.

Have you done a reset after install VC and pairing the BT headset? I seem to recall that it doesn't start working until after a reset.

Re: Voice Command thru BT on new rom

I have a Jabra BT8010 and it is having problems with the new ROM. It acts like it is hearing my commands but will not speak back to me. For example, I can say "show john doe" and it will do it but if I say "what time is it?" it will not speak back. There is a little static in the headset but no voice speaking back. sometimes I get the icon which appears to be asking me to repeat.

Anyone else seeing this kind of problem?

Re: Voice Command thru BT on new rom

I just found something of interest. I had originally installed the ROM by letting the Sprint stuff install. Just for fun I wiped the phone and did not let it install the Sprint stuff. I installed Voice Command and it started working. It answers the questions through the headset now. Just because I have no life and wanted to have some more fun I wiped the phone again and let the Sprint stuff install but made sure I installed the Voice Command and paired the phone and headset before doing anything else and it works. I then installed all of the other stuff that I had and it still worked. It appears that the order of install may have something to do with this. The first time I had setup things I am not 100% sure if the Voice Command was working. I know I had talked on the headset and got it to call someone but I never tried the other stuff.

I am also having issues. I have a Plantronics 665. When I hold the button down it beeps like it used to with my 6700, but I hear nothing and it never closes the connection. I have to hold the button down to manually close the connection.

Same issue here.

I have a Jawbone, and if I press the button on the Jawbone, it beeps, connects, opens dialer, and sits there.

I had this working on the 2.17 ROM...just had to disable confirmations to get it working.

Would love to get this working again!

What order did you install things in? I had the same kinds of prolems but when I rbuilt the phone and isntalled VC first my problems have mostly gone away. I still have some flaky problems like the headset going to stero mode everytime I turn the phone on. There are also a few other issues but I have a lot of 3rd party stuff that could be causing problems.

I use a Motorola HT820. Works swimmingly with both A2DP and Headset modes.
