Having trouble teathering with the new rom and vista.

I've got PAM on my plan, now mind you I can connect through BT PAN just fine...but I'd like to tether with usb on vista home premium...I've tethered before click connect, connect usb cable and woila...well, now I'll click connect, connect the usb cable, it'll start to connect, vista will start to identify the network, sometimes even getting as far as identifying the network...then boom, Internet sharing says disconnected..no error, nothing, and since IS isn't running WMDC tries to start running.....can't figure out what the problem is, or why it would mysteriously start to disconnect....also what can I use to tether the mogul to a win xp box...win xp complains about not finding the proper rndis drivers, I've looked everywhere tried to install the drivers and I get nothing....and sprints connection manager doesn't support the mogul....what to do?
