Available Memory

I was wondering how much memory everyone has on a clean reboot. I am running Phone Alarm, Mobile Shell 2.0, PocketWeather, and TodayAgenda and when I do a clean reboot, I only have about 10 MB running memory free. I am constantly having memory issues when trying to run different apps.

Re: Available Memory

Check the memory usage of your running programs with this http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm

Then you will see which app is using the most memory. And thanks for the info on Spb Mobile Shell... Didn't know 2.0 was out yet! It uses less memory than the previous versions too

Re: Available Memory

I have Mobil Shell 2.0, Pocket Plus, Pocket Weather, SPB Insight and Phone Suite, MemMaid, Oxios ... I still have about 20 megs on a reboot. It will go down to about 14 when I turn on WiFi but it goes back up after I reclaim ram and use Oxios.

I am using a Mogul with the stock Qwest ROM and average registry edits.

Re: Available Memory

around 21 megs after fresh reset. Running spb pocket plus w/ phone suite/diary/spb weather and a gag of other things. I use memmaid often to reclaim ram which seems to help. I hit around 15-16 after an hour or 2 of use but i dont notice too big of a speed drop.

Re: Available Memory

mobile shell 2.0 is a memory hog, i like it a lot though, I am running mobile shell 2.0, pocket plus, and spb time. Right now I get about 19 megs at startup running rdlyzzy's rom and then it stays steady at about 15 mbs. Prior to installing mobile shell though I used to get about 23 megs. I think the mobile shell was more designed for the phones coming out now that have 128 mbs of ram on them (The touch is getting more tempting by the day...)

Re: Available Memory

Why use both Mobile Shell 2 and Pocket Plus? They pretty much have overlapping features I find... So the redundancy would kill your RAM no?
