HTC Home, How do you customize the layout?

Is there a XML file(or any file) where I can tweak the layout of the HTC to customize it?
I really like to merge the two groups of buttons(icons) just below the clock.

Thank you.

The HTC Home plugin can be custumized to an extent like changing fonts, colors, what tabs display, etc using the HTC Home Customizer. However, that's pretty much the extent of it. You can't merge the buttons. You would have to use something else like Batterystatus that has XML skins that you can customize to mimic the HTC Home Plug.

Re: HTC Home, How do you customize the layout?

The buttons can be manipulated as I have done it. However you will have to size them accordingly whether you are using 6, 5, 4 tabs, etc. The files are located in (2) places:

The files for uploading into HTC Home Customizer (HHC) are located (with File Explorer)...
My Device-->Program Files-->HTC Home Customizer-->FILES-->icons

The second location is basically the load-from folder... that it when you have chosen your BG, Icon, Clock & Weather sets, this is the folder from where the images are actually loaded from and can be edited as well. Located here...
My Device-->HTCHome

With that said, if you create custom icons, etc and upload them through HTC, then the changes are submitted to the HTCHome folder and the HTC Home Plugin loads them from there. If you chose to create new button icons, remember that they will have to be re-widen if you try to create a "merge button of sorts" dependent upon how many tabs you are using and spacing. Trial & error here will get you where you want to be of course...

I already have the customizer.
And as far as I know, it does not allow me to modify the layout of the HTC Home, other than including/excluding the tabs.
