Have you tried editing the the registry to allow tethering to work without giving you the 67 error? I have not seen that error in months and use my mogul to tether all the time.

Using a registry editor go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing" and delete the string value named "Extension".

Also to get rid of your 67 error open ICS and hit connect as it is trying to connect before you get the 67 error hit disconnect. This used to work for me to get rid of the error.
