HEY everyone....sorry i havent been around..i had influenza a and my booty has been moving....jeeeesh. also i have a problem my touch screen isnt workin...so i hard reset it...and now it wont get passed the.."tap screen to set up" home screen...so get this...i took it into sprint....keep in mind i live in south dakota ....and this dumb dude who works for sprint said" DID U TURN OFF THE TOUCH SCREEN OPTION" i was like...wtf are u talkin about can you swap out my phone or give fix it!!!!! so i got to wait til 2pm to fix this joker...i spent cash on this phone and they are acting like they aint going to swap it out...im going to bitch if they make me call insurance!!!! oh hell no

chantelle, just a thought...

the mogul doesnt respond to simulateous screen taps...

take a piece of paper and stick it in between the screen and case and slide it around the border of the screen. When i used to work at alltel, a guys screen stopped working, and the culprit was a crumb stuck in between the border of the screen and casing, which was registering as something pressing on the screen. This prob isnt the case 4 u but anything to help u out baby girl

no just the htc update i put on there...but the funny thing is....my text msg started going out...with the vito bull chit....and then i tried to align the screen that would work...then i hard reset and now i cant fix it....hummm......

it should still let u hard reset. Hold the two softkeys down and stick the stylus in the hole. it should still let u hard reset tho babe

Make sure there is nothing stuck in between the screen and the case. Using a high pressure air can. This worked for me when my touch screen stopped working.

chantelle eff that if you didnt damage the phone dont pay a deductible for a new one. Tell them that it aint your fault that the screen stopped working and if they cant prove that you damaged it then they need to replace it under the manufacturers warranty. Point blank u have a one year warranty on cell phones against ANY DEFECTS.

possibly some how it could have messed the rom up maybe??? try reflashing the one on htc site again...to do it hold the power button plus the cam button and then use stylus to soft reset..this sputs it in bootloader...then reflah maybe that will fix it..

and what could anyone find wrong with paying $50 for something that's almost $600? i did that, and i'm on my 3rd one, cause of the fact that my first 2 were badly damaged, and 2 days later, it came to me with everything in the box, and thank god for total equipment protection. woot effin' woot!

she didnt damage the phone, so paying for a insurance claim is gonna be ripping her off. Thats like buying a new car and having the engine fail at 10000 miles, when theres a 50000 mile powertrain warranty, and you paying for the repair.

I had this same problem lastnight! My text msging started getting laggy and shit and then it started freezing my Mogul. After a reset (like 100x) it froze at that one screen. After hours of playing around with it and getting pissed i reinstalled the newest Roms and its working finee right now. If you have stuff to backup just plug your mogul into your PC and use the Active Sync to backup your stuff. The only thing i lost lol was my contacts but thats no problem for me i can get them all back.

see you should go back to the sprint store, give it to the guy and tell him to give you a new one. if they say no the speak to the manager.. if he says no and tells you to go thru insurance hit him with the mogul and then tell him to get you a new one.. repeat until you get a new mogul.

But honestly this was no fault of yours and they need to honor the warranty and if they dont then keep going up the food chain until you find someone that has some sort of common sense and will help you out.

Just go though E-care. Log on and do it via chat on the sprint website. I have had two moguls replaced this way and both times they sent out my mogul to the store and all i had to do was pick it up.

update: i went back to the store and they said cuz i got a scratch on it that that was impact damage and they wouldnt get there money back. im pissed. i have no phone still and im dont want to pay any money for a new one...but i forgot to mention i have a refurbished phone because the one i bought i left it in the bar some where. culd that be the issue????

Wow, they are saying a scratch will cause your touchscreen to die completely? and That its impact damage.. wtf.. Looks like you might be better off talking with e-care.. or call sprint and talk to someone and when you don't get the answer you want ask to talk to the retentions dept and see if they can get you a replacement...

Well e-care is a email based dept. You log into your sprint.com account and go to support and find the email link... (http://search.sprint.com/inquiraapp/contact.jsp) try that.. and retention is a hard dept to get to. You have to ask a person to forward you there. best thing to do is sound like you have given up hope and you are ready to cancel your plan and go to another carrier.. this should get you to retention..

ok ok ok problem solved my friends.....i called sprint and said i was going to cncl my line and they transfered me to retention and now they are sending my phone to me in three days...so i should be up and running here....the rep tried to give me a fifty dollar credit to my sprint account and wanted to three way to arusion insurance. and i was like no effin way...thats not good enough....i shouldnt have to hassle over anything. so anyway he did some replacement thing online for me its a website you can go to but i am not sure what exactly it is...but you fill out a bunch of questions and at the end of the survey it says if you qualify for a phone. so i did.....but i cant wait to be back....i wonder why my touch screen went out!!!! i still hate reps that dont know the business about phones...that shit is annoying...
