i ended up installing the cab and updated framework

attach image and send. I get notification that it sent (comes up rather quickly) but nothing is getting received.


any ideas?

if your running a no2chem rom i think its included..I never had to update..As i never installed it either..but it said a newer version already exist on my device.

So from what I gather, you wouldn't be able to use this for "mobile@facebook.com" in order to send photos from your PPC to Facebook. Since it is coming from pktpix.com to the recipient, correct?

It should install the during the sync process, try syncing. other than that there must have been an error, try installing again.

This app is sending through email not mms, so no you cannot send there if it requires it to come from a mms tele number.

just woke up, looks like some bugs here and there.... thanks to everyone who's donated!

this is an issue with my web server, looking into it when i have the chance.

I can't really fix the sending by sprint thing, unless you know how to force sprint to change the unknown sender message.

2: I know about this issue, late night coding always leads to stupid bugs =p

the issue is probably that it just uses the contacts mobile phone number.

haven't looked into it, honestly i don't have the bandwidth for this kind of thing.

i'm going to look into using another open file dialog, probably one that has preview or something, the built in wm one sucks and has major problems.

to do:
fix multiple contact issue
allow choice of different contact phone numbers
storage card folders support
better file selection dialog
video support?? (pktpix doesn't support it...)
SMS interception??.... (this would involve making a picmail viewer, but ... hey... then we would have incoming / outgoing!)

i use the mobility touch flow which uses 2.0 framework, if I update to 3.5 for this program does anyone know if it will stop working?

everything that runs 2.0 is compatible with 3.5

that is, 3.5 is backwards compatible with 2.0

Ive noticed that you cant use mozilla, just use Internet Explorer and you should be fine. i had the same issue.

nice build. tried with teh automatic one and I never came to my phone. but I tried with sprint and it worked fine.

Not sure if anyone else has reported this, but my memory usage went up from 70 to 78% and stayed there, even after I completely closed out the program.

hmm, memory leaks?/ maybe .net is staying in memory... =/ .net programs usually don't have memory leaks due to garbage collection though

Just want to say killer job on this one!

I notice that you are going to work on the issue with getting pics off the storage card. The other possible bug that I have is that it would not let me take a picture from the camera either. I do have Shozu installed, which grabs the pic and prompts me to send it to another site (like flickr) so I don't know if that's what is getting in the way. I haven't had a chance to deactivate that prompt and see if it fixes it or not.

Other than that - this is a killer app. I do believe that I'm going to try to send a donation your way next time I get paid.

nice app. although metropcs happens to be the major cellphone provider here in detroit city and it's not possible to email a pic to metropcs. you must picturemail it. pktpix doesn't work either.

VERY NICE! The one thing I like about it is the link in your text message...no sprint garbage! Very clean website with just your pix, your message, and a itty bitty tagline for pktpix.com!

To all that are having problems getting this program to work because of .net 3.5 issues. Make sure that you also install the .net 3.5 sql cab as well. It is seperate from the regular .net 3.5 compact framework. I did that and it started working for me with the 3.16 beta stock rom.

P.S. No2chem, you and all the other guru's on here rock. you guys are the reason i moved from a palm to a mogul. I will try to donate as soon as I can.:headbang:

Not sure if this is the right place to post this.....but I couldnt get the oem version to cook right when using DCD's new kitchen. I tried putting in the kitchen and making an oem from a cab and both dont have an icon on my ppc and say that either its not signed or with a trusted cert. or there is a problem with the componets.....any idea?

install new .net 3.5 read previous posts for instructions

Is it actually creating the email in the outbox? Which email are you sending through/do you have set up. One of the tabs has an option to select which email account to send through, make sure the correct one is selected and verify that it is or is not making it into the outbox and post back

er, haven't had time to post an update, but i haven't got the storage card issue fixed, the problem is an issue with the microsoft common control that im using...

i did get some other bugs fixed though...

I thought it wasnt finding pictures on my device because they were jpeg and program look for image files. Which I know are the samething. But maybe is the wording that's also causing a problem?

Program is great, one problem I am having is that when I click on contacts and try to add someone, it says "Error addingfrom contacts...

Sorry if I missed this somewhere... when I manually type in the number, it works great on the spint mode but not PktPix either

any ideas? Thanks in advance

I have the number saved as a "mobile" number for that contact, still getting "Error adding from contacts..."

is it possible to have this as an option when you are taking a picture with the camera to use this program as an option for mms? (Instead of starting this first before taking the picture.

Has anybody got sending a pic from file (not from camera) to work? it is not able to locate any of my pics (jpg) on the storage card.

hmm, i don't know that would involve some integration with camera app... does arcsoft do this? storage card is known issue, it has to be from the root folder of the storage card

via text.

I'm trying to get the app to work on my sprint touch. I got it installed and updated me .net. When I try and send I keep getting Helo command rejected: need fully-qualified hostname.

The following recipients did not receive the message:


I have tried using my gmail email and my personal email from my domain. And the emails are setup ok on my phone I use the email to send and receive all the time. I called me server support and they set up my hostname and made sure it was correct. I can send pics via my pc with the same emails fine using pktpix. Just not from my phone. Any ideas? I tried via sprintdrop down and get the same thing while trying to send to my phone.
