Vibrate alert for txt messages not working..?

This is getting really frustrating. On my xv6800, I have tried putting the phone on vibrate mode, but when I get a new txt there is no vibration it is just silent. I have even gone to settings-alerts+notifications-new txt message- and set it to vibrate, but still It won't vibrate when I get a text. Has anyone else had this problem?

If you turned off your blinking LED then it will mess up your vibrate.

Do you have a .mp3 set as the sound for it? (I know you said when you put it on vibrate mode, but humor me)

I found that mine would stop vibrating/alerting me if I had the sound set to an mp3. I converted the mp3 I used to a .wav and now I havent had a problem since.

Do you have phoneAlarm installed? It will override any settings you make in the settings panel. You have to configure vibrate through PA itself.

Also another thing to check if you use the PalmThreaded Messaging App, in the notifications there are 2 New Message options, one for the factory new message alert and one for the Palm threaded messaging alert, so be sure you have vibrate checked off on teh Palm one.
